Zanim przejdziemy do właściwych testów przyjrzyjmy się wynikom w programie RightMark Audio Analyzer 6.2.3. W obu przypadkach wyjście było podłączane do gniazda Line-in Xonara za pomocą kabla zakończonego dwoma wtyczkami typu jack.

W przypadku Xonar'a, źródłem dźwięku było wyjście na śledziu dla przednich głośników/słuchawek.
W Sound Blasterze musieliśmy skorzystać z tylnego wyjścia na słuchawki, gdyż głośnikowe nie dawało odpowiedniej mocy, by móc przeprowadzić test.

Wnioski

Dzięki wykorzystaniu z tego samego wejścia liniowego wyniki pomiędzy dwoma kartami można porównać. W skali bezwzględnej w oczy rzuca się zbyt niska wartość zakresu dynamiki - daleko do deklarowanych przez producentów wartości ponad 100dB. Winić za ten fakt można samo wejście line-in Xonar'a, jak i również "na upartego" użyty przez nas kabel.

Ogólnie Xonar prezentuje bardzo wysoki poziom. Niezależnie od częstotliwości próbkowania osiąga bardzo dobre wyniki. Zarówno w kwestii szumów, dynamiki czy zniekształceń.

W przypadku nowego Sound Blaster'a tak różowo nie jest, mimo wszystko rezultaty są całkiem dobre. Przy częstotliwości próbkowania 96 kHz zakres dynamiki jest na podobnym poziomie co Xonar. Jednak poziom szumów i zniekształceń mimo, że jest dosyć dobry, to jednak trochę odstaje od konkurencji. Mimo wszystko to tylko garść suchych syntetyków, więc nie ma się czym zbytnio przejmować ;-)
